JMA fast-K stochastic
This indicator is our version of the classic Fast %K stochastic. We pre-process one price time series with JMA prior to evaluating the oscillator. The chart shows one version of a JMA Fast-K where the trailing average line was removed. Using JMA as a proxy for price itself delivers plots with low-noise, oftentimes rendering the trailing moving average line unecessary. In this example, we created a simple trading strategy that entered LONG when the oscillator crossed above the lower threshold line and exited whenever the oscillator was below the upper threshold line and falling. |
